Our Story

 

Hi everyone! I'm Laura, the founder of Storyline Tea.

Storyline started as a daydream I had while curled up in my favorite rocking chair, reading a book and drinking - you guessed it - tea. I had chosen to brew that tea that morning because it "fit the mood" of the book I was about to read, and I thought, "what if there were more of this?"

And so I made it happen.

For me, tea is like an old friend who constantly has something new to tell me. Tea can be a ritual, a comfort, or sometimes just a necessary bit of hot caffeine in the morning. Tea has its own lore, history, and culture - it is intrinsically linked to stories in societies around the globe. I love discovering those links, and creating my own.

I've always loved experimenting with new flavors and combinations, and I love that I now have a professional outlet for that obsession.

Each of the tea collections that Storyline releases are specifically chosen to "fit the mood" of existing books and movies (and in the future, games and music). If you're a nerd like me and want to learn about the process of creating these collections, read more about that on the Our Process page.

I created Storyline to share all of these things that excite me and light me up. And because I really @*%#ing love tea.
